BPMA Monthly Meeting

The State of Product Management in the Digital World

How has digital technology transformed the role of product management? What do product managers need to know to keep their skills relevant in the accelerating digital world?

Steven Haines, the author of multiple books on product management, including The Product Managers Desk Reference, will facilitate an interactive conversation, covering these and other key topics:

  • The importance of customer insights in a fast-paced development environment
  • What's not working and why
  • What are some of the best practices used by companies with digital products
  • How to assure that all functions are aligned

Be prepared to share your own experiences and ask your questions - as well as learn from your colleagues in the Boston Product Management community.

Additionally, Haines's book The Product Manager's Desk Reference will be available for signing. Bring your business card to enter our contest – one lucky person will win a free copy of Haines’ book!

Optional "Early-Bird" Structured Networking Session:

At professional events, do you move beyond small talk to make the valuable connections that will advance your career?

Come by 6:15 pm and join us for BPMA Structured Networking, which makes networking easy, fun, and highly focused. You’ll join a small breakout group of 10 professionals and a moderator. When it’s your turn, you’ll pass out your business cards, introduce yourself, talk about what you do, describe your “PM sweet spot,” and tell us how we can help you.

Career advice? Prospects for a new job? Vendor referrals? All job- and career-related topics are on the table. Our experienced moderator and your peers will discuss your goals and recommend options to help you achieve them.

Reminder: Please arrive by 6:15 pm to participate. Structured networking is limited to 10 and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. And don’t forget to bring 10+ business cards to get the most out of the session.
